Turkish Govt Makes Stunning Accusation Against Soros

George Soros, the meddlesome billionaire “philanthropist” who has dedicated his golden years to trying to destabilize nations and advance the progressive Marxist agenda, has now been busted out for his efforts in Turkey and booted from the country.

According to The Guardian, Soros’ Open Societies Foundation is set to end all operations in and withdraw from the nation of Turkey.

The organization made this announcement after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared the organization was trying to undermine, divide, and destroy the nation.

He’s certainly not the first to accuse Soros of doing so, nor is he likely to be the last.

Open Societies has denied the accusation and instead claimed that they could not continue operations in the nation due to the open hostility of the Turkish government.

In reality, it’s more likely that they’re packing up and leaving due to being reportedly subject to an investigation by the Interior Minister of Turkey for possible ties to anti-government protests in Istanbul in 2013. Open Societies has denied any involvement, but it certainly fits the bill for their usual MO.

Despite claiming innocence, Hakan Altinay, the founder of Soros’ operations in Turkey, was detained by Turkish officials along with a dozen others suspected of said subversive activities on the part of the Open Societies Foundation.

Specifically, they’ve been accused of aiding imprisoned civil rights activist Osman Kavala who is currently facing charges for trying to usurp the Turkish government by organizing the mass protests in 2013.

In a speech delivered to local administrators recently, Erdogan connected Kavala’s arrest to Soros.

“The person (Kavala) who financed terrorists during the Gezi incidents is already in prison,” he said.

“And who is behind (Kavala)? The famous Hungarian Jew Soros. This is a man who assigns people to divide nations and shatter them. He has so much money and he spends it this way,“ he continued.

This phrasing has played in nicely with the left’s current narrative that any criticism of Soros is based entirely in antisemitism, which, in Erdogan’s case, is at least partially true.

Of course, American conservatives who criticize Soros actions here and abroad don’t care one way or the other what his heritage or declared religion is, unlike Erdogan.

The only thing we have in common with the Turkish president is a desire to see Soros and his money get the hell out of our country too.
