Judge Who Blocked Trump’s Sanctuary City Order Raised $200,000 for Obama

The California judge who blocked President Trump’s executive order seeking to withhold federal funds from “sanctuary cities” reportedly raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for former President Barack Obama, donor records show.
U.S. District Judge William Orrick III, of the Northern District of California, ruled against the Trump administration after the city of San Francisco and county of Santa Clara sued over the president’s plan to withhold federal funding from cities or counties that harbor illegal aliens, Fox News reported.
Judge Orrick said that Trump’s order targeted broad categories of federal funding for sanctuary governments, and that plaintiffs challenging the order were likely to succeed in proving it unconstitutional.
Orrick’s decision will block Trump’s executive order for now, while the federal lawsuit makes its way through the courts.
The judge not only raised $200,000 for Obama in 2008, but he also raised $30,000 to committees supporting the former president that year.
The Federalist reported that the same judge issued a restraining order in 2015 against the Center for Medical Progress, the advocacy group responsible for undercover videos that reportedly showed Planned Parenthood employees planning to sell baby organs.

I am not surprised about the money. He took a chance on is decision and if it goes to Supreme Court he will have to explain is failure to check the Constitution closely.
irt of all Sanctuaries are a religious sentiment of compassion that surpasses normal values, so it takes God Devine grace to reach out beyond secular demand or expectations. The Constitution was carefully designed to avoid Uniquely Religious goodness and compassion. But, at no where in the Constitution demand special set aside places beyond the reach of the reach he law of the land. Again, a religious place us treated more carefully than a regular place by asking permission of the Pastor to enter. the money comes from charity not government subsidies. Properly examined one might ask the moral reaon to use tax money including money from people who have been hurt by people in so called sanctuaries. Any one can gave a safe for people in need, but legally they are harboring fugitives, which is a crime. So, if Sanctuary is based on God will. they must incorporate as such, with specific laws by the government, “God property”. Or it is an independent territory
from the State and rules must exist from the government, nor does the government owes them any thing, Unless so agreed for special reasons that performs a service to te government and community.
