The Second Amendment is About Fighting Tyranny

What is the real issue at hand concerning the attempted raping of the Second Amendment rights of American citizens?  Is it really about preventing more violence or protecting our children?  Or is it something else completely different being hidden under the guise of preventing violence.

Here is Obama’s understanding of the Second Amendment:

I, like most Americans, believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms.  We have a strong tradition of gun ownership in this country and the vast majority of gun owners act responsibly…”

We recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passes on from generation to generation, that hunting and shooting are part of a cherished national heritage.”

In a dangerous mass brainwashing campaign, President Barack Obama has been telling the nation that the Second Amendment is all about hunters and hunting.  The reason he is doing that is because so many Americans today abhor hunting and will get behind his efforts to start banning guns and ammunition.  I’m actually surprised he’s not running scenes from Bambi where Bambi’s father gets shot by a hunter.

Obama doesn’t want you to know that the Second Amendment was written by our Founding Fathers purposely to help us be able to fight tyranny from the government like they had to with Great Britain.  Had the colonists not been armed and owned weapons in nearly every home, they would never have had a chance for freedom and we would all be hailing the Queen instead of Obama.

George Mason, along with James Madison are considered to be the Fathers of the Bill of Rights.  Two of my favorite quotes from Mason are:

“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.”

And:

” … to disarm the people – that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them.”

Those two statements from the man that helped pen the Second Amendment make if perfectly clear who the Second Amendment is referring to as the militia – all of the people EXCEPT some public officials.  He also states the necessity for all Americans to keep and bear arms to prevent being enslaved by tyranny such as we are facing today.

Below is a four and half minute video that defines what our Founding Fathers said about the militia, the right to bear arms and the necessity to be able to defend ourselves from a tyrannical government.  There are a number of excellent quotes from the men that formed our nation and our Constitution.  Please take the time to watch, take notes and pass this information on to your congressmen, family and friends.  Help us stop tyranny with votes before we are forced to stop it with lead.

Wow, you actually have to bend the truth to make your point. President Obama never said the 2nd Amendment was ONLY for hunting. He is an educated, intelligent man, well spoken tand has a law degree– he knows the reason for the 2nd Amendment and its purpose, and also knows that it was never intended to be an ‘everyone can have a gun and carry it wherever the hell they want, even machine guns or military assault weapon fromthe future’. Ronald Reagan supported gun legislation on assault style rifles, and I haven’t heard anyone advocating to own a machine gun or a bazooka. The Second Amendment allows for owning a musket (rifle) for hunting (because people hunted to feed their families) and for sport (target practice and competition). It also provided for the organization of a welli”REGULATED” militia because the U.S. did not have a regular full time army. A militia is not a bunch of guys getting together to start a ‘civil war’ if donald trump didn’t win the electoral college; but a regulated militia, whose purpose was to ensure that laws are followed (we have police depts for that now, and vigilante justice is a crime), suppress insurrections (still, not the role of a militia), and repel invasions (we now have a full time army- with the growth of the nation it became necessary to secure our assets abroad and defend those allies we have treaties with, and to prevent other military forces from invading US soil, which a militia (well regulated and all) could not defend against (and hell no, you don’t get tanks and surface-to-air missiles or drones). Further, the right to bear “arms” back then is nothing compared to what that word means today. There is no reason to assume that it was intended for citizens to own the kind of military grade weapons we have today. Can you imagine a crackpot who gets fired from a job or dumped by a girlfriend taking revenge on whoever he is pissed at and whoever gets in the way, with a military grade weapon where each shot tears a human being in half? Even back in the days of having militias (The closet comparison for today would be the National Guard and Army Reserves) there were gun regulations and restrictions- for instance, those who refused to take the oath of the revolution were not allowed to own firearms. And towns could (and did) outlaw carrying guns within city limits. President Obama never tried to take away anyone’s 2nd amendment rights. But, at the same time it is pretty disgusting that after every mass shooting, all Republicans are willing to say is “Sending our thoughts and prayers” even when elementary school children were slaughtered. And they even refused to discuss delaying (until effectively reviewed by authorities) someone purchasing a gun who is on a suspected terrorist or no fly list. The 2nd amendment “right” of a possible terrorist is more important than the risk of another massacre– That is the opposite of what the 2nd Amendment was created for- to protect US citizens from attack, and the Republican congress didn’t give a damn because they take MILLIONS in campaign donations from the NRA. After ever mass shooting, people are scared and they go and buy guns- the gun manufacturers and gun stores owners make more profit which is then passed on to the NRA which is then passed on to Republicans candidates to vote in their favor. You see, your sacred 2nd Amendment is merely a business tool used by an industry to make more profit. And, since militias are no longer relevant… the 2nd amendment is only about capitalism and greed. How many children die each year from accidental shootings? Who cares, it’s about profit.

Yeah. One question about James Madison’s quote. When did he say this?
