On December 20, Fox’s WXIX affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio, ran a segment on the Second Amendment. Reality Check host Ben Swann did an admirable job of explaining what the rest of the corporate media avoids like the plague – the Second Amendment is not about hunting or even self-defense, it’s about responding to government tyranny.

    The reality check is correct, however it states “a well regulated Militia” The National Guard is a well regulated militia but it is also part of the Federal Government upon call. A Militia was intended to defend the state, the Civil War is an example, States have the right to
    a well regulated militia to defends itself. It was written in a sense to accommodate those demanding the Declaration of Independence be included and minimize the Revolution part. So, individual are given the right to bare arm and defend itself against tyranny BUT not WAR WEAPONS. Only the Federal Government can have Weapons of War. Much remain to be interpreted. The right to revolution is clear but the word “well regulated militia” still limits the Amendment.

    Ronald Reagan: We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
