Democrats To Expand Healthcare Coverage To DREAM Act Recipients
A group of Reps. led by Barbara Lee (D-CA) is asking Obama to extend healthcare coverage to the children of illegal immigrants for whom he waived deportation months before the election.
These “DREAMers” — so-called because they are recipients of a de facto DREAM Act — are “not eligible for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, or federal subsidies provided under [Obamacare].”
The waiver of deportation was known as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and Democrats are now saying it simply does not go far enough.
According to Reps. Lee, Judy Chu (D-CA), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA), and others, “There is no principled reason to treat differently young people who received deferred action through DACA and any other person who has received deferred action.”
Lee is currently circulating a letter for fellow Reps. to sign in support of expanding healthcare benefits to DREAMers, or DACA recipients.

Answer is simple. This administration has been hispandering ever since B.O got elected (voter fraud), in 2009 in the first stimulus package they gave 2.3 billion to La Raza (Nclr) to shove their hispanic agenda down our throats. They doled out some of those funds to MALDEF. LULAC and other open-border nonprofits to do the same.
Then B.O appointed Hilda Solis to the DOL and she shoved the spanish language down our throats in the workplace and schools and opened up hundreds of day labor sites in the U.S just for illegal aliens. There are other appointees in congress that are all affiliated with these socialistic open-border nonprofits as well, namely Supreme Court Justices Sotomayor and Kagan.
Now a days these open-border nonprofits have been assisting in outlining our Immigration Laws, Deferred Action, The Dream Act, and Secure Communities.Illegal aliens are already receiving Obama Care have been since they enacted it.
So Ms Jan this administration is listening to these nonprofits (lobbyist) bypassing congress in several ways all they want is their vote, when the democrats completely destroy our country these “dreamers” will be the ones paying for it. Each child now owes 250,000 dollars in this economy compared to 8,000 in 2008. We should enact Mexico’s Immigration Laws here in the U.S.
I am a 57 yr. old mother of 3 plus 2 adopted from the foster care system ( all grown). One of the adopted kids is mentally handicapped and will never live on his own. I also care for 2 foster kids who are mentally handicapped. I am disabled myself with Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis and high blood pressure. I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor. I was born and raised in this country. I am not eligible for any government programs who will give me free education or medical care. My question is, why are my elected government officials working to obtain free benefits for ILLEGAL aliens? They were NOT elected to represent ILLEGAL aliens, they were elected to represent the AMERICAN CITIZENS who voted to put them in office. I also had a “dream” but was required to work and be an upstanding law abiding citizen in order to get it. There is a process in this country that an immigrant has to go through to become a U.S. citizen and to gain the benefits of being a LEGAL American citizen. It is not my fault or the fault of any other LEGAL American citizen that these ILLEGAL aliens invaded our ciuntry ILLEGALLY and either brought these kids here ILLEGALLY or gave birth to them here. Their parents should be forced to comply with the law and be held financially responsible for the care and education of their kids. This is NOT a burden that LEGAL Americans should have to bear. We have a lot of elected officials in all levels of our givernment who should be made to pay back any of their pay that was earned representing ILLEGAL aliens. There is only one ” right” that ILLEGAL aliens should have here in the U.S. and that is the right to have humane treatment during their arrest and deportation process. And don’t call me a racist! Three of the six children I’ve raised are black, my sister’s partner is black and I have a black grandchild all of who I love dearly
I doubt that Barbara Lee and the rest of these people who are pandering to the illegals for their future votes would even take the shirts off their backs or even take out their wallets to help these people out. Oh sure, they have no problems using the taxpayers money to pay for all these so called benefits, and you are right on the button msjan, it’s really sad that US citizens who had worked hard all their life, paid their share into the system and even served this great country could not even qualify for the basic benefits. I’ve known people that came here legally and illegally but are too old to work received more benefits than those who paid into the system. The only way to solve this unfair practices of our elected officials is to vote them all out. If they would rather work for those who could’nt even vote, then it’s time for the American people to show their anger.
