Another Border Patrol Agent Killed In Arizona
In December 2010, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was patrolling the U.S. – Mexican border near Rio Rico, Arizona. He was shot and killed by Mexican bandits with what later proved to be two weapons from the botched Operation Fast and Furious. In fact, it was Terry’s death that brought the federal gun walking program to light.
The repercussions of Operation Fast and Furious are still being felt and several members of the House and Senate continue to investigate the program.
In memory of agent Brian Terry, the Border Patrol station in Naca, Arizona, about 100 miles away from where Terry was murdered, was renamed after him. Early yesterday morning, three agents on horseback from the Brian Terry station were responding to motion sensors in an area about 7 miles east of Bisbee.
