Senate Refuses to Cut Foreign Aid to Egypt, Libya and Pakistan
Protests and riots against the United States are taking place on a daily basis in numerous cities and towns in Egypt, Libya and Pakistan. The American Ambassador to Libya was murdered last week along with 3 other Americans attached to him.
Several Republican Senators introduced a bill to cut all foreign to the three countries until specific terms were met. For Egypt and Libya, reinstating foreign aid would be contingent upon those governments arresting all of those involved in the embassy attacks and then hand them over to U.S. authorities. For Pakistan to receive any more foreign aid, they would have to release from prison the doctor who assisted the Navy SEALS’s raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound.
Sen. Rand Paul, (R-KY) threatened to hold up all Senate business unless the bill was considered by the full Senate. Paul commented about the bill, saying:
“When nearly 80 percent of Americans believe foreign aid should be reduced – especially to countries that are not our allies – it is inconceivable why their views are ignored by so many in Congress. I am far from defeated on this; I will continue to fight for this issue when Congress returns, and I will continue to call attention to the billions of American dollars – borrowed from China, among other places – being sent to governments that are not willing to respect and protect our interests overseas.”
Just one more reason rid ourselves of Congress…. We The People have NO CONTROL over “how” Congress, But we damn sure have a say “WHO WILL VOTE”… We need to vote each and every Incumbent out of office.. Period… No Exceptions…There is so much Corruption in congress That the only way to rid ourselves is to fire eacn Incumbent till we get it right .At least let thewm know that if they don’t represent We The People the ARE FIRED>>>>
