When you hear a story about a 17yr. old getting in trouble for truancy, you might think it’s some juvenile delinquent, not this story.
Diane Tran is an 11th grade Honors Student, taking college level ‘dual credit’ courses, taking care of her two siblings, and working two jobs (one full-time, one part-time).
Whether she makes it to class or not, she’s maintained very good grades, she’s an HONORS STUDENT.
That’s a lot going on for a 17yr. old girl.
Her reward? The judge gave her a night in jail and a spot on her record for not being able to be in two places at once.
