D.O.T. illegally detaining motorists, builds database

The Florida Department of Transportation has been caught illegally detaining possibly millions of motorists at toll booths to demand personal information from them and then log them into a state database.

Why? Well, that’s the problem. They lied about that.

While investigating, Joel Chandler was told that the reason people were being ‘illegally’ detained and logged into a database was to fight counterfeiting, however, the D.O.T. never once shared the information gathered with any law enforcement agencies.

Not once.
