Last week we shared information with you on an Illinois Judge having ruled that the State’s ‘eavesdropping law’ was unconstitutional. The law has been being used to prevent a heavily surveilled citizenry from recording the actions of police, an authoritarian sort of a ‘do as we say, not as we do’ stance towards accountability.

Well, now the news is that in Chicago the police will continue to enforce, arrest, and prosecute citizens under this law as long as it remains on the books.

Coming to Chicago in May is an upcoming NATO summit and it is expected to bring with it huge numbers felonious camera carrying members of the public, and you can bet the police will have their own cameras trained on them.

Hypocrites!

I guess we’ll see if the CPD starts rounding people up for using their cell phone cameras…

STill appears we have people in high offices that have a head of rocks and no common sense or dency. Oh well, I guess any person can be certified as a judge.
