Help restore food freedom in Kentucky by supporting S.B. 47
Corporate agribusiness and the pharmaceutical industry are together working towards achieving a total monopoly on human health that includes restricting Americans’ free access to the foods of their choice. And in an effort to restore some of this freedom that has already been lost, concerned Kentuckians are currently working to pass a new bill, S.B. 47, that will establish regulatory guidelines that prohibit government intrusion into private food contracts made between farmers and their customers.
The issue ultimately stems from raw milk sales, which are currently illegal in Kentucky. Though there are no state guidelines prohibiting “cow share” programs where customers purchase shares in a cow or goat in order to legally gain access to the animal’s milk, state and federal officials have increasingly been cracking down on such arrangements both in Kentucky and across the nation.
