By now, most of us are pretty well convinced that Anwar Al-Awlaki was a bad guy. Even I’ll buy that he was a bad dude.

But the idea that due-process is now OPTIONAL is a very frightening prospect. Scratch that, it’s a very frightening new reality.

Perhaps they’re not inclined to provide ‘evidence’ of his guilt because it would show that Al-Awlaki, the CIA lackey, worked for them all along. After all, this is the guy that rubbed elbows with the brass at a Pentagon dinner.

Now he’s dead, and a new precedent is set.

I find it interesting that Obama taught “Constitutional Law” and he is this “inept” to know or just plain ignorant that it is ILLEGAL to kill those born in the US. This is the MOST morally bankrupt president of our modern era. This terrorist is fair game, but those in Guantanamo bay are/were going to be charged with civil laws to be tried in criminal courts. Kinda HYPOCRITICAL!

I have covered the laws of citizenship in various places. The issue here is that we have seven rules, beside treason, that, if broken, can cause a person to loose its citizenship. You never hear about because our politicians have been ignoring those rules to favor special interest it made those law prctically non existent. The President cannot use themto defend his action without bringing up some obvious question about the status and action of many politicians, remembering also that only citizens can be employed in government. However the rules are there and we should demand enforcement or qualify the exceptons.
According to the rules those fellows had lost their citizens. As such they had no right to due process. Most embassies stillhave those rules, you also find them on the internet.
