About The DOJ’s Decision To Sue Arizona

Yesterday, as per my usual routine, when I got home from work, the first thing I did was to power up my computer, to check my e-mail, and put my aching feet up to relax.

As the mail began to download I scanned through the subject lines. My eyeballs froze in their sockets when I read, Feds file lawsuit against Arizona; ask judge to block SB1070. Instantaneously my blood pressure must have went up 20 points, and I no longer felt the pain in my feet.

Even though I suspected that our government would do this, I still felt this sudden, overwhelming outrage at the federal government. If you look up the word traitor in the dictionary, one of the definitions you will find is, “one who betrays another‘s trust or is false to an obligation or duty.” That definition fits those bastards, sons of bitches, or whatever term you wish to call them, who have now sued a state for doing what they, the federal government, were supposed to have been doing for the past 24 years since the Passage of the Simpson Mazzoli Immigration Act.

The U.S. Department of Justice filed papers in the 9th District Court, located in Phoenix, Arizona, over the recent passage of SB 1070, a bill which mandates that state employees enforce current existing immigration law found in Title 8 of the United States Code.

The mission of the U.S. Department of Justice, (DOJ), is stated as, “To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans.

Don’t you find it just a little bit ironic that the DOJ is suing a state for doing the job of that it, itself, is supposed to be doing? After all, it says that their job is to enforce the law, and to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior.

Since entering our country illegally, working in our country illegally, and everything else an illegal alien does while in our country is illegal, why hasn’t the DOJ, for the past 24 years, done its’ job? While we’re at it, why haven’t past, and present Presidents of the United States, whose job is chief executive officer, made damn sure that the DOJ did their job?

Instead of the DOJ suing the state for doing the job it should have been doing, why don’t the states sue the current and past presidents, and attorneys general for negligence and breach of trust?

If I had any say in the matter, George Herbert Walker Bush, William Jefferson Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Hussein Obama would all be indicted. While I was at it, I would add former Attorneys General Barr, Reno, Ashcroft, Gonzales, Mukasey, and Holder as co-defendants.

Unfortunately, that just ain’t gonna happen. So now we have the federal government, suing a state for doing the job the federal government has refused to do. Their basis for doing so is that SB 1070 “…is preempted by federal law and therefore violates the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution.

Furthermore, in a statement by Assistant Attorney General Tony West, the Arizona law “…attempts to second-guess federal policies and re-order federal priorities in the area of immigration enforcement and to directly regulate immigration and the condition of an alien’s entry and presence in the United States despite the fact that those subjects are federal domains and do not involve any legitimate state interest” (emphasis added)

The effect of illegal aliens do not involve any legitimate state interest? Where the hell do these people come from? Where do they get these asinine beliefs? These idiots can’t honestly believe that the influx of illegal aliens do not have any effect upon the states they occupy. What about the crime that comes with them? What about the cost to educate their non-English speaking children? What about the burden upon our social service programs due to their anchor babies, which allow them to suck off the public tit? Excuse me Mr. West, but pull your head out of your ass and take a look at what is really happening in this country!

The statement found on the DOJ’s website states, “Department’s brief said that S.B. 1070 will place significant burdens on federal agencies, diverting their resources away from high-priority targets, such as aliens implicated in terrorism, drug smuggling, and gang activity, and those with criminal records.

Significant burdens? Tough shit! You, and by you I mean the federal government, has had 24 years to seal that border, and you have refused to do so. If you had done it those high-priority targets would not be a problem, would they?

Mr. West continues his idiocy by stating, “Assuring effective enforcement of the provisions against illegal immigration and unlawful presence is a highly important interest…But it is not the singular goal of federal immigration laws

Then he gets to the crux of the matter by stating, “uniquely national interests’ like facilitating trade and commerce, welcoming foreign nationals who visit or immigrate lawfully and ensuring their fair treatment, responding to humanitarian concerns…

If you ask me, our federal government succumbed to pressure from Mexico, particularly from Mexican President Felipe Calderon, to do something because Arizona’s law might actually work, and that would cut off a huge chunk of the money that these illegal aliens send back to Mexico, but that’s just a guess on my part.

After all, why would this arrogant bastard try to meddle in our internal affairs? Why would he stand before the members of Congress and state, “My government does not favor the breaking of the rules. I fully respect the right of every country to enact and enforce its own laws…But what we need to do today is fix our broken and unefficient [sic] system.”? Our system is not broken, and I am sick and tired of hearing that it is. How can a system be broken when no one has tried to enforce it?

This whole problem with illegal aliens could be solved if, and this is a big IF, if our president had a pair of balls bigger than split peas. With five simple steps we could solve this problem, hell I could do it if I were president.

First I would close the border entry points. No one gets in, and no U.S. citizen gets out. Mexicans are free to leave, but once they step over the border they cannot return.

Next I would post the National Guard along the border, in sufficient numbers, to stop the influx of illegal aliens. They would be under orders to forcibly return all those heading north back to Mexican soil. The use of deadly force would be authorized for anyone refusing to return.

Then I would stop the flow of trade with Mexico. Along with that I would cut off all foreign aid to them. Finally I would stop the flow of money by Western Union, and all other wire transfer services, out of the U.S. into Mexico.

Then I would issue a formal statement to the President of Mexico, telling him that normal relations would resume when he gets his shit together and stops encouraging his people to violate our nation’s sovereignty.

But then I am not president, am I? Instead we have had 24 years of chickenshits who are more concerned with diplomatic relations, with the availability of cheap labor for their buddies in the business industries, and for the special interest groups who scream out racism anytime we attempt to enforce our nation’s laws.

We haven’t had a president take illegal aliens seriously since President Eisenhower enacted Operation Wetback. Can you imagine the outrage today if a president even used that term?

And therein lies the problem, not only does our government lack the spine to do what is right for this country, too many people are worried about offending someone by using a term like wetback.

So here we sit, arguing amongst ourselves about what to do, while according to a 2004 Dept. of Homeland Security report, 8,200 illegal aliens cross our border daily. Soon they will outnumber us, then they will have the numbers to pass any type immigration reform they want, possibly doing away with any type of immigration requirements entirely.

Maybe then, when Mexico is pretty much emptied of all Mexicans, we can move, en masse, south and start over, demanding of the remaining Mexican government, the same rights and privileges that they demand of us now. Until then I urge you to stock up on ammo, cause it is eventually going to get very ugly in the good ole U S of A.

You are right about the costs of educating the children of these illegal aliens. We also need to consider the cost of keeping the convicted ones in our prisons as well. Heck, California has to release inmates because we don’t have enough room to house them all. Send them all back to Mexico as well. Let Calderon find a prison for them on his dime.

While you go a bit further than I would on some issues, I agree with you on most. We need to have a legal presence requirement to receive ANY taxpayer funded benefit, service, privilege or grant and do away with birthright citizenship. We also need to get Plyler v. Doe revisited by SCOTUS because that opinion was grounded on the fact that educating illegal aliens was not a large burden for the state in 1982 when it was heard. At that time, it cost the state about $1 million to educate illegal aliens and their children, which was a drop in the bucket as state budgets go. However, fast forward 28 years, and now they are costing each state BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars annually. I think it would be easy to show that they are now a significant burden to the states. IRCA in 1986 was supposed to grant amnesty to 300,000 illegal aliens, but by the time it passed that number had increased times ten and ended granting amnesty to 3,000,000 illegal aliens. Now we have 12-20 million more illegal aliens here all clamoring for their ‘right’ to another amnesty, even though the numbers prove that amnesty only exacerbates the problem and encourages more of the same illegal behavior. The bottom line is we need an ENFORCEMENT ONLY policy. It is unfair to citizens and legal immigrants to do otherwise.

Glad someone liked this well enough to pass it on.
