Omaha Walgreens ‘Hero’ Still Being Denied Right To Self-Defense
The Nebraska Firearms Owners Association (NFOA) today called on the city of Omaha to end its practice of registering firearms, in the wake of a case involving a private citizen who fatally shot an armed robber, and who continues to be denied the ability to register a new firearm by the Omaha Police Department, which took his defensive sidearm used in the shooting into evidence.
NFOA President Andreas Allen said that the hero in this incident, Harry (James) McCullough, now faces gang reprisal because the armed robber man he fatally shot was a documented gang member. Mr. McCullough has “great concern for his personal safety.”
“He is living on the road, sleeping at a different house every night and not working,” Allen said.
What an interesting case that the NFOA today would call on the city of Omaha to end its practice of registering firearms. In this instance, it definitely appears to be self-defense and Harry should be allowed to protect himself. He should definitely consider getting legal advice/backing if this case is taken to court.
gosh people can’t be allowed to have guns and use them, would sorta put the police out of business, the police needs the guns so they can protect criminals and hassle people who would dare exercise such a right
I carry a gun, I have carried a gun for over 38 years. Many of my guns and magazines are illegal in many states. I dont go through those states, I spend no money in those states. None of my guns are or ever will be registered. I am a hard working father of 3 with out a criminal record. I have never had to use my gun but just having it has stopped crimes from happening. Once in Southern Calif against 3 gang members, they threatened to come back but never did (they are cowards) I do not have a carry permit and never will. It is not nessasary where I live but it is also a violation of the Constitution. I have nothing but respect for an honest police officer but any officer who tries to arrest me for carrying a gun will have a fight on his hands. He is violating his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. I will not ever drive through Omaha again untill they change there laws. I have went through Omaha at least twice a year for 35 years, NO MORE. The Supreme court has ruled 4 times in the last 200 years that any unconstitutional law is null and void and can not be enforced. Read the second ammendment, check each word with a 18th century dictionary, ALL GUN LAWS ARE UNCONSTIRTUTIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any law that infringes on your right to keep and bear arms is null and void!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless American Patriots. Gene
