Taxation without Representation

Article 1 of the US Constitution, first half of the third paragraph of section 2:

Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons [Modified by Amendment XIV].

If you will notice, the US Constitution ties representation and taxes pretty tightly together. Theses links here and here will take you to a couple of sites that explain the working of our Constitutional government in plain, easy to understand language. The problem we have right now is we do not have a government that wishes to abide by the Constitution.

    Pursuant to the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution for the United States of American,

    “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

    The states have failed or refused to enforce the issue so now what? The Ninth Amendment!

    The 9th Amendment states:

    “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

    Hence, WE THE PEOPLE have the legal right to enforce Article II, Section 2, Clause 5. 10TH Amendment
    To repeat we must remember :

    Dear Governor,
    “I writing this letter to you because I am very concerned about the direction in which this administration is heading our nation. I understand that a lot of States are passing laws to support and defend their own State Sovereignty. The United States Supreme Court stated in Printz v. United States, 521US 98 (1997), that, “The Congress cannot compel the States to uphold ANY federal regulations. ” This is a very important opinion of the United States Supreme Court in the support and defence of State Sovereignty. I hope this information is helpful to all States fighting for Liberty.
