The boy’s uncle, an illegal alien, was arrested.

An 8-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the face.

His uncle, Javier Gudino, is behind bars for illegally possessing a firearm, child abuse and discharging a firearm. The 24-year-old is in the country illegally.

Phoenix Police said four kids found a handgun and one round hit the boy. The boy’s uncle, Javier Gudino, reportedly fired the gun earlier in the day after drinking and left it out where the kids could find it.
