North American Union battle

One of the most effective strategies to inflict bad public policy is to rename and repackage an unpopular or unwise idea.

That is underway with the Trans Texas Highway, or on a broader scale, the Super Corridor.

The Texas Department of Transportation and even the governor of the Lone Star State announced in January that the “Trans Texas Corridor” was finished because of a public outcry against it. While trying to create the image that this grandiose scheme had failed, transportation officials casually mentioned that several of the highway projects associated with the Trans Texas Corridor would still be built. And, private funding for public toll roads is still on the table.

Why should Oklahomans care about highways in Texas?
