Federal Imprisonment for Christians Right Around the Corner

When is the last time you saw $10 Million dollars being spent on special programs in schools that taught school-age children about Judeo-Christian values and why they are important in our laws today? Better yet, funded by the Government? Well, I can answer that for you. Never!

But, the Government sure is interested in getting some bills passed that will do just that for certain select minority groups such as homosexuals while putting Christians in prison. $10 Million dollars in funding will be allocated annually for the administration of hate crime prevention including special programs about this in our schools. IF…the most recent David Ray Richardson Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 262) coupled with the David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 (H.R. 256) are passed!

So, besides the double-standard, why should you be fuming and taking action before you even finish reading this? Because these two bills that are going to be sent to President Barack Obama’s desk will silence Christians from speaking against homosexuality or teaching our children that it is wrong. You would quite literally be committing a Federal crime and convicted. If these bills get passed, not only will Christians be silenced — but, the government is scheduled to swoop in with $10 Million dollars to drive a stake right into the heart of Christians by making sure your children hear and are taught everything against Judeo-Christian beliefs.

For the rest of the story …..

I believe you missed the point of the article.

Thomas Jefferson said, “the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions…”. The government is not competent to read a person’s mind, much less criminalize his opinions.

One might argue that the federal government would never stretch the meaning of “hate crimes” so far. But they would be dead wrong as seen by their actions in enforcing the NSA wiretaps (still ongoing, although condemned by SCOTUS), the PATRIOT Act, and numerous other government legislative actions undertaken by liberal and neoconservative agents of Washington, DC.

    From CADC …..

    The Problems

    1. Proving hatred as a motivation is very difficult and a matter of opinion, thus prone to abuse. By the way, when has a criminal ever lovingly murdered, assaulted or vandalized? Hate crimes assumes that when a particular person is harmed there is harm to a similar class of victims. This harm is simply assumed, and the criminal is unjustly punished for an unproven crime.

    2. What other groups are we supposed to add to the victim class? There is no limit to the number of groups one can think of by characteristics- size, parentage, freckles, glasses, left handed, red hair? Equal justice under law is the just, equitable biblical standard.

    3. It is rather easy to fake the appearance of a hate crime in order to gain sympathy for one’s group. This has happened and has been increasing in popularity.

    4. Murder, assault and vandalism are already criminalized under state statutes. Jurisdiction for these kinds of crimes belong to the states, unless the states are not enforcing them.

    5. Hate crime laws are merely “feel-good statutes” which are being used primarily to effect social change by normalizing homosexual behavior. In some states with hate crimes people have been accused of hate crimes simply for preaching the Gospel which the state defines as biased against a particular group. This is an assault on First Amendment rights of free speech, Religious Liberty and freedom of conscience. If these intrusive laws are passed, the truth about the homosexual behavior will be suppressed by those who call the truth hate. The church has a spiritual obligation to call all sinners to repentance, including those who indulge in homosexual behavior, lest they suffer its negative consequences emotionally, physically, spiritually and eternally.

And from Janet Folger, WND columnist …..

“Here’s the Cliff Notes of what so called ‘hate crime’ legislation has already done IN AMERICA,” she wrote. “This is no longer up for debate. Here are the facts.”

    * Madison, Wisconsin. David Ott, a former homosexual, was arrested for a “hate crime” for sharing his testimony with a homosexual at a gas station. He faced a $10,000 fine and one year behind bars. Seven thousand dollars in legal fees later, [he] was ordered to attend re-education classes at the University of Wisconsin conducted by a lesbian.

    * St. Petersburg, Florida. Five Christians including two pastors were arrested at a homosexual rally for stepping onto the public sidewalk instead staying caged in their officially designated “free speech zone.”

    * Elmira, New York. The Elmira police arrested seven Christians for praying in a public park where a homosexual festival was getting started.

    * Crystal Lake, Illinois. Two 16 year old girls are facing felony “hate crime” charges for the content of their flyers.

    * Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Arlene Elshinnawy, a 75-year-old grandmother of three, and Linda Beckman, a 70-year-old grandmother of 10 (along with nine others), were arrested for sharing their faith on the public sidewalk.

On a final note, in case you feel I am over-reacting, think about the Jewish faithful in eastern Europe who failed to speak out about Hitler and his fascist regime. Had it not been for their silence perhaps the Holocaust could have been averted.

Yet you would expect the Christians living in the U.S. to not speak out about these infringements on our liberties.

I’ve got news for you … these sheep have fangs!!!

If you read the text of the bills, they are nothing like what you say. They are aimed to prevent bigots from hurting human beings that have just as much worth and dignity as anyone else. They say nothing about limiting free speech.
Exodus 20:16 “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”
