Last Wednesday, Tucson police officers arrested Tucson Activist Roy Warden in front of the Joel Valdez Library near the corner of Pennington and Stone when Warden arrived to commence the Third Annual Tucson Weekly Public Forum.

“If you think the First Amendment automatically protects your right to protest the Mexican government and the criminal activities of Pima County and Tucson City public officials you are misinformed,” said Warden.

Over the last 4 years Warden has been arrested 12 times for events surrounding his political speech.

“On Tuesday night I handed out copies of Common Sense II and addressed the Mayor and City Council in support of 287G and higher pay for Tucson Police Officers,” said Warden.

Warden’s publication, Common Sense II, exposes the direct link between Tucson City Open Border Policy, escalating violent crime rates, the financial melt down, and America’s economic catastrophe.

“The next day they busted me. I guess they didn’t like what I told them,” Warden said.

Warden’s next Municipal Court hearings are scheduled for Tuesday January 20 and Wednesday January 21, 2009 in front of Judge Berning.
