Hot chocolate products recalled due to melamine

3 hot chocolate products are being recalled after samples tested positive for melamine.
Dorsey Marketing Inc. has voluntarily recalled the cocoa under the brand name “G and J.”
They were sold at Shopko and Big Lots stores nation-wide.
They were sold at Big Lots during the weeks of September 22 and September 29 and at Shopko the week of October 10. It’s unknown whether any products remain in the stores.
They include:
– The Hot Cocoa Stuffer, (bar code 061361201444) sold in small green and blue packages with a candy cane and some marshmallow
– His and Hers Hot Cocoa Set, (bar code 489702201296) sold with 2 ceramic mugs in a brown box
– Cocoa, (bar code 061361201260) in french vanilla and double chocolate flavors. Both of the cocoas were sold in a small pink bag with a whisk attached.
No illnesses have been reported.
Melamine is an industrial chemical used illegally as a protein substitute. It can cause children to be very sick and even death. It has been the source of recall of numerous Chinese imports.
Consumers who purchased these products can return them to the store for a refund. You can also call Dorsey Marketing Inc. at 1-888-645-1053.
