I agree, not every one can be a straight A student and one should not discourage learning, but it is not done by lowering standard. It happened during my University days, M.A. and PhD. required a Thesis and Dissertation so they decided not every one could write a NEW presentation and a Paper was not necessary as long as they get the grade in classes. My private University would not do it, but Public and slowly many other did. “And so it came to pass that we graduated people that could not come up with any thing new and we imported foreign students for innovations”
