I mean seriously, this was only at the time Conservatives were in a death struggle with the global warming zealots and con artists like Al Gore who looked to cash in on the $10 TRILLION a year carbon trading business. And were is good old Newt? Canoodling Pelosi on the couch, SUPPORTING Al Gore’s friggin’ hoax!
That didn’t piss you off sufficiently? Maybe THIS is what you thought was Newt’s ultimate betrayal. Once again, here’s good old Newt, right in the middle of serious legislation, and working FOR the enemy of all that is good and decent!
At the very time John McCain was yelling at the top of his lungs that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were about to destroy our economy, and the entire Republican Congress was working to reform them, to STOP the meltdown that would eventually hit us, and we are still unable to recover from, where was Newt?
Oh, Newt was working for Freddie Mac, of course. He was paid $300,000 to lobby Congress on their behalf, and stop those much needed reforms! At the time Newt told the world that Freddie Mac was a “solid business model”.
