It’s absolute insanity! When we end up in a cashless society the banks, which are currently being protested worldwide, will have their greedy fat fingers in every single transaction that takes place.
And second hand goods? Many people buy second hand goods because they can’t afford to buy them new, because they’re poor. Many of us are becoming poorer everyday, which is also why more and more of us are SELLING our used goods.
It may become a new form of discrimination against people without checking accounts, debit cards, or credit cards. Believe me, they want every last one of us in that system, and they want it bad.

I watched the video live as I am from Louisiana. Ricky Hardy, author of the bill is a moron. It was snuck through quietly. It is an attempt to get more tax money forcing tracking of transactions.
IF THIS ARTICLE is all there is to the bill, it is a ridiculous IGNORANCE of garage-sale shoppers who for fun or NEED shop the weekly garage-sale/flea markets AND FIT THE DESCRIPTION OF THE BILL, RIDICULOUS REQUIREMENT OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS–which are NOW considered “secondhand dealers” ERRONEOUSLY TO GET INFORMATION FROM SELLERS TO JUSTIFY THEIR 1-CENT DEALS. I HAVE NOT SEEN THE VIDEO: I have suffered the discrimination outlined in the text above, before, when funds dropped low enough to not be able to afford a checking-account, costs went up, buying a money-order, paying for gas to scramble around to every bank in town from which people wrote me checks, even in help, having to pay for more gas… Being poor is very expensive, and others take advantage of it, charging you to cash your own checks, for instance, simply because YOU do not have your own CHECKING ACCOUNT, so NO BANK will CASH ONE written to you. This is ROBBERY. NO ONE should BE ABLE to pass a law REQUIRING ONE TO HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT FOR WHICH YOU PAY, much less have one YOU DO NOT WANT. This is SO CLOSE to not being able to “buy or sell without the name of the beast, or the number of his name” in the book of Revelation! <3+Mother
