As many of you know, I don’t usually write/blog myself but simply research and report others’ contributions. But today, Patriots’ Day, 2010, I could not resist. You see …..
I was listening to this interview with Congressman John Boehner and became disgusted with his lack of knowledge of American history and I decided I had to set him straight before he, like the other progressive propagandists in our Republic’s capital (District of Criminals) distorted the heroic deeds and contributions of our founding fathers.
On March 24, 2010 Congressman Boehner was interviewed on Fox News America Live with Megyn Kelly. You can watch the interview in its entirety, but following are excerpts of his comments:
- “Americans are angry”
- “Violence & threats are unacceptable”
- “That is not the American way”
In conclusion, my advice to Mr. Boehner is “return to school and learn TRUE American history!”
Indulge me for a moment and let’s travel back in time…
- The date — March 23, 1775
- The location — St. John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia
Following is a brief excerpt of Patrick Henry’s oral arguments in his address to the Second Virginia Convention …..
“It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”
Now imagine for a moment Mr. Boehner standing in response to Patrick Henry and uttering his own modern-day sentiments…
“My dear esteemed colleague, Mr. Henry — You know we can’t be talking that way. I know we are all angry, but violence is NOT the American way. We must continue verbally pleading with His Majesty, King George to repeal these bonds & shackles he has levied upon our colonies. Violence & threats such as yours are totally unacceptable!”
Do you think Mr. Boehner would have been tarred & feathered and put on the first boat leaving for England???
Now fast forward nearly 100 years to 1861. You won’t find this taught in American History classes in our public school system (aka Federal Universities for Progressive Propaganda).
On April 19 of that infamous year, in the City of Baltimore, MD, armed Union soldiers from the Sixth Massachusetts Regiment were traveling through Baltimore to Washington, DC. A group of secessionists and Southern sympathizers (or unruly mob, as characterized by today’s media (MSM) blocked their route and began hurling stones and bricks at the Union soldiers occupying forces. The soldiers began firing their weapons into the crowd (no rubber bullets, tear gas, or water cannons in those days) killing 12 civilians and wounding countless others while suffering the deaths of 4 of their own. That day came to be known by many as the first bloodshed of the American Civil War (aka “The War of Northern Aggression”).
The events of that day, commonly referred to as the Pratt Street Massacre, resulted in President Abraham Lincoln declaring martial law in much of the State of Maryland.
Sound familiar? Presidents Bush and Obama are following exactly Lincoln’s precedent battle plan of suspension of the Bill of Rights!
Now back to our present-day mess …..
Pelosi, Reid, Clinton (both Bill and Hillary) & Obama have stated unequivocally that today’s Tea Party activists are racist, hatemongering, subversive, anti-government right-wing extremists who should be considered extremely dangerous – even comparing us to Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995.
In reality (something Pelosi, Reid & Obama have a complete lack of knowledge of), we should consider ourselves in VERY GOOD company! In 1775, King George felt exactly the same about …

On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.”
- Thomas Paine — “He that rebels against reason is a real rebel, but he that in defence of reason rebels against tyranny has a better title to Defender of the Faith, than George the Third. “
- James Madison — “Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.”
- Thomas Jefferson — “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
In conclusion, ladies & gentlemen,
THE TREE OF LIBERTY IS MIGHTY THIRSTY!!!
