People appear to have a great deal of optimism that Barack Obama will be able to “fix” what is wrong with this country. I sure wish I could be so optimistic, but folks, from my perspective, the prognosis doesn’t look good.

Our economy is teetering on the edge of a catastrophic collapse that will rival, or surpass, the Great Depression and people are only fooling themselves if they think Barack Obama can “fix” it. According to John Adams, “All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation.”
