Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act of 2007 (introduced by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy D-NY) is expected to reach the 111th Congress this year again, following it’s defeat this past year.
It’s important to see what Obama intends to do now, considering his outright concern for banning handguns.
The list of co-sponsors of HR 1022 need to be exposed for what they are, misguided, naive gun grabbers with no common sense.
They don’t seem to understand that criminals will continue to possess guns while the law abiding citizen is becoming the criminal under HR 1022. But let us not be so naive ourselves…..
These legislators know that, and the angle they use, i.e., protecting children and the innocent by banning weapons, a violation of the 2nd amendment, is a ruse and the overall attempt to protect a tyrannical government from seizure by a “well regulated militia” a constitutional stated duty.
